Can Asian body clock help improve your sleep?

Do you have trouble sleeping and want to find a solution that can help you fall sleep faster and sleep longer... NATURALLY?

We suggest combining our All-Natural Zzzleepy Mama supplement with the timing of the Asian Body Clock!

Healthline suggests that we can use the Asian Body Clock to our advantage to improve our sleep. And I'm pretty sure that moms could all do with a little bit of more sleep.

The idea is rooted in Chinese medicine and follows the idea of qi and its movement through the body. Qi is otherwise known as energy - everything has energy, the earth, the elements, our bodies, even our thoughts!

It’s said that qi moves through your body night and day, giving energy to different areas of the body at different times.

And the clock suggests that our bodies work on a 2-hour time intervals. During each interval, a particular organ is functioning at its peak.

Here is a chart to show you where in the bodyqi (or energy) is, and when:

3-5am

Lung

5-7am

Large intestine

7-9am

Stomach

9-11am

Spleen

11-1pm

Heart

1-3pm

Small intestine

3-5pm

Bladder

5-7pm

Kidney

7-9pm

Pericardium (supports heart function)

9-11pm

Triple burner

11-1am

Gallbladder

1-3am

Liver

So as you can see the Asian body clock looks at a 24-hour cycle, but to keep things simple for this article, we’ll just have a look at the suggestions that affect our much-treasured sleep.

7-9pm

Towards the latter part of the evening, it’s suggested that we lounge in relaxing activities that require little mental stimulation. Good news, if you ask me. This will help us to wind down and prepare for a full night of sleep.

Between 7-9 pm is when circulation is at its peak. At this time in the evenings, depending on what your hectic mom life leaves time for, you might like to read, have sex, or practice yoga/self-care. Enjoy a little quiet time as it's best not to engage in deep conversations during this time, we can also struggle to express ourselves (more than usual…) during this time.

9-11pm

9-11 pm, according to the Asian body clock, is the perfect time to go to bed. If you struggle to sleep this early, just try to make sure that you are in bed and relaxing. Any excuse for a few more minutes of peace heh?!

During this time your body is re-hydrating, so make sure that you drink a little water before bed - though not too much to get you up and on the toilet multiple times a night. It’s a fine line, I know...

FALL ASLEEP FASTER
SLEEP DEEPER
ZERO GROGGINESS

VEGAN SLEEP SUPPLEMENTS

Fall Asleep Faster.  Sleep Deeper.  Zero Grogginess

What if you’re struggling to sleep or stay asleep?

Despite what the Asian body clock suggests that we do for optimal sleep, you might still find yourself lying awake at night wondering why you can’t stop thinking about tomorrow’s to-do list. Or nursing, or putting your children back to bed, or getting water...you know, the usual nightly demands.

If you can’t sleep before 11 pm - especially if your new wake-up time is 5am - this could indicate that you’re having trouble digesting fats. It might also be a sign that you’re experiencing difficulties in decision-making. We suggest you get that journal out and start working through some of those confusing thoughts!

According to the Asian body clock, if you’re consistently awake between 1-3 am you will quickly start to feel very weak during the day. To beat insomnia, it's suggested that you try to heal any anger, frustration, and stress that you might be feeling.

Have you used the Asian body clock and our Zzzleepy Mama Supplements to help improve your sleep?? We would love to know!
